IMO it's plenty to convict him of a crime that's likely to be murder. Here we have a dead body of a person he was living with found in a very remote location but you don't need a body for a murder conviction. A reasonable person would say, with the facts (her death, his flight and actions before that) already known that he is likely responsible for her missing and death within reasonable degree of certainty unless there is extraordinary evidence to the contrary.
