ARRRRRRRRRRGH!!!!!!!
I think I own one too many "smart" devices: one of them has gone rogue and is trying to destroy my sanity.
Went to bed last night and just as I was drifting off to sleep, "BEEP!"
Aw, crap. Get up, check the smoke detector out in the hallway; battery good, no problem there.
Go back to bed, lay there for a while, and drift off to sleep again.
"BEEP!"
I ignore it. It's not the smoke detector, so it can't be that important. Start to fall asleep again.
"BEEP!"
Oh, good grief! Now I'm pissed off.
So I got up and spent the next four hours checking every single !@##%^*# electronic device I could find: phone, spare phone, laptops, blood glucose meter, TENS unit, Kindle, my little DSO Nano pocket oscilloscope, my collection of pocket DVMs, my capacitance meter, and even the red laser crosshairs accessory on my drill press. Nada. Batteries all good, all devices happy.
But I'm not happy. Not happy at all.
Because something is still beeping. And when I find it...
What could it be?
