So now the Dmx is disconnected completely the fixture is on 1 12v psu pos
And all negs are connected

 

What does all negatives connected mean?

 

Red illuminates (as it is not connected to the neg) when powered on think I have this correct now sorry for the confusion.

 

So its connected as image + and - to psu G B to Neg R is not connected to anything, and red is on when powered up.

 

OK that's good but to measure the current the meter must be connected between the +12V terminal of the power supply and the +12V power input of the module.
Remove the +12V wire on the module from the power supply and connect it to the Common black lead on the meter.
Connect the red meter lead to the 10A receptacle and set the Dial to the 10A position.
Is this clear?

so I disconnect the fixture from the psu and put the meter inbetween thus restoring the connection through the meter got it

 

Just make sure the meter is setup correctly.

 

Yep set to 10a positive in left side

 

Red leds came on 0.33a on the display

Now the same for just Green then only Blue.

Yes but make sure the other 2 are connected to Negative.

 

The green one comes on a immediately goes off can't get a reading
