I’m currently designing a PCB with usb-c, and I’d really appreciate some help reviewing my schematic and pcb layout for my usbc layout and especially the esd protection
You can remove the USB silkscreen that extends beyond the PCB edge.
For ESD considerations, many datasheets (for example, some STMicroelectronics datasheets like that of usblc6-2) include reference diagrams for PCB placements. It’s also worth checking the datasheet of the specific ESD protection component/device you’re using—placement is generally recommended to be kept in line with the signal path.
There’s a useful discussion on this topic here from stack-exchange: TVS diodes routing on USB data lines, which covers best practices for ESD placement directly on the PCB.
