I know it to work that way, but it doesn't look drawn that way. Tracing the hot from the battery goes right to one of the brushes!No. When the Starter Relay is energized by the Ignition Switch, it energizes the solenoid switch in the Starter Motor.
The Ignition Switch is spring deactivated when you take your hand of the ignition key.
But there is still the problem that everything else only gets power when the relay is engaged, which means that there is no way to engage the relay because the circuit that would engage it has no power.it must be drawn incorrectly.... starter motor should only receive power when relays are energized:

The wire from the battery should go directly to the left-hand contact on the relay and tie directly to the 'R' wire.

It does not show how the starter relay is controlled.
The brown line of the starter relay is incomplete.
