I recently read an article proposing the universe's missing mass might be some exotic dark fluid with negative mass. That lead me to wonder what if the missing mass is hidden right under our nose. What if the masses of well known particles (electrons, protons, neutrons, photons) are actually SUMS of positive and negative mass, tipping to the positive side of the scale (at least in OUR neighborhood)?
