I have a customer that has a power washer hooked up to a Start-Stop Push Button control circuit. They want to add a timer where once the start button is pushed, will shut off the power washer automatically after a certain period of time (ie; 5 min). What kind of timer do I need to do this and if possible could you attach a wiring diagram for the control circuit.

What voltage is the washer?
How much current does it need?
Is the switch to be mounted indoors or outdoors?

 

You want an "Interval-on" type , many timers have selectable programmable timing versions.

Indoor but a wet location.
I already have the proper sized motor controller and start stop buttons installed. Just looking for how to wire the control circuit with the proper timer relay.
