Electrical/electronic connectors have been traditionally described as either "Male" or "Female".

However, will political correctness invade the connector industry and manufacturers will be forced to offer "Transgender" connectors??? :p

Or will the industry require connectors to be used on the basis of their "Gender Identity" rather than their function? If a male power plug identifies as a 110 volt wall receptical, we're in for a nasty shock hazard!!!
What about 'Master' and 'Slave'. It's time to rip these electrical statues down.

"Overlord" and "Minion" sounds so much better.

What can I say!
Max.
By logic of link Mother's day needs be renamed too:rolleyes:!

Actually I say it's moot anyhow cuz now Father's day is redefined to honor every man in your life just like Mother's day for every woman:rolleyes:! I say parents are totally too special to be honored by commercialized appreciation days created just to line merchant's pockets:mad:!

I was the product of a deadbeat dad. He walked out when I was five, and I never heard from him again. He died when I was in my 20s.
Joeyd I say dereliction or parental duty is just terrible! IMO parent/child is most important human relationship so there's just no excuse for that:mad:!

If I we're able to see him again, I'd promptly beat the crap out of him. Then, I'd thank him for my life.
Joeyd I totally understand ur ambivalence but I also say his animal function of providing half ur dna doesn't excuse him from parental responsibilities! My mom and dad don't get along at all anymore but they both are totally concerned with my happiness and welfare so I say that's not too much to ask!

If ppl want to have fun w/o consequences they can use contraceptives! But if they don't or it fails they have sacred responsibility! And just so everyone knows I hold myself to same standard!

In other news, the Los Angeles city council has voted to rename Columbus Day as Indigenous Peoples Day.
I don't have too much trouble with that. Honoring a guy that never saw the continental U.S., and certainly never saw California, seems a bit odd in California. Chicago has a big Italian contingent, so celebration of Columbus in Chicago makes some sense.

That being the case I implore you to be very very careful! -- Grandmumhood at my 'tender age' is more than I could stand:eek:o_O

Oh good lord!

In computer terminology, "master/slave" refers to primary and secondary hard disk drives. But a Los Angeles County purchasing department told vendors in late 2003 that the term was offensive and violated the region's cultural diversity. The county's department of affirmative action undertook a hunt to replace it on packages.

Next they are going to demand the demolition of all buildings that have master electrical panels.

Thank goodness they have moved to SATA since then. No master and slave issues.
