Hi; Is it possible for a lithium battery, whether Li-ion or Lipo, to resiste a temperature of 90 up to 100 ° C in a period that does not exceed 3 minutes?
knowing that its working temperature range indicated in its datasheet is 60 ° C.
thank you for any information given

It is extremely inadvisable to operate lithium batteries outside their temperature specification. I have personal experience of what happens when a lithium battery catches fire – it is like a firework going off.

Most lithium batteries will have a maximum charging temperature of 50⁰C – in other words at 50⁰C and above, no charging current should be applied. Similarly discharging the battery at a rate that causes excessive internal heating should be avoided.

Well designed lithium battery management systems (controlling battery charge/discharge) will include temperature monitoring of the battery to ensure operation within specified temperature limits.
