This is a must-watch video. Adam Savage is joined by reps from Lumafield, makers of industrial CT equipment that allows visualizing the internal of "things", in this case lithium-ion 18650 Batteries. Their detailed report shows the horrifying and dangerous construction of cheap cells. This video provides a good overview. The report is a deep dive which pictures showing some of the horrors.
