Hay guys, I'm in a grind with this LG microwave control board. It had a gentle but sevier death. Upon inspection found leaked capacitors, two damaged optocouplers , a blown inductor and a pitted IC- LNK 364DN. I changed the caps and inductor. I changed all the parts, although had to jerryrig the IC with a DIP package since the D-package is not available here in my country. After replacing the components I powered the bird up but to no avail. I saw that the new IC was getting quite hot and upon measuring the source to drain voltage of the IC it was at 300V DC. Kind of lost here. IMG_20210113_011148.jpgIMG_20210113_011005.jpg

Not wanting to be a Killjoy, but looks like the PCB has had water damage causing corrosion. I would just bin it.
No, no water damage. The marks you see on too of the sticker with the barcode is from the two caps leaking. But thanks for you openion.
