I admire the OP's courage to have a go at this, but get it slightly wrong on the road and it is an A6, you could be in deep water.
Get it wrong on the EMU side and there is more deep water.
There must be some information out there on the specific sensors - I guess you have gone through all the Audi/VW forums, friendly mechanic etc.?
If this is a one-off, it might be cheaper in terms of time and safety to get it fixed.
If you think you might do more of this, an investment into an automotive USB scope like the Pico one would help.
Going back to the circuit, take a look at things like Schmitt triggers that are designed to clean up signals, voltage translators to change voltage levels. Use automotive grade components - voltage regulators in automotive grades are bomb-proof.
Have a look at some of the manufacturers (Honeywell, Allegro etc.) who specialise in Hall sensors etc. and see what's in their applications documentation.
