Strange. I wonder if that red LED on the touch sensor is affecting the IR sensor.
Well, before the last modification, the problem was to not able to turn it off with one click and it only happened if the lamp was on for a couple hours, otherwise it worked fine. So, I don't know how it could interfere now.

The IR sensors supply voltage might need some decoupling from the touch sensor. You can try adding C2 and R3.
This should eliminate any noise or ripple in the supply voltage to the IR receiver.

The problem is, we have no idea how the touch sensor works when driven high through a 1 Meg resistor. All we know is that it appears to work sporadically. Using something in a way that it is not designed to work is not a good practice.

Ok, I will try that tomorrow.
I hope this will solve the situation.
Thank you and good night.... I will keep you informed.

Hello,.... I tried and tested with the last modification. Sadly to say, still doing the same.
I think we have soend enough time and effort on this project.
I'm going back to the part that was most useful even though not perfect, still was ok. I will look for a better solution around the internet... One promising found was a project that use the IR receiver to control 2 relays using the attiny85. I figured I can modify it to work with what I'm trying to do.
I might probably need help with that too. I would need to start a new post though.
I thank you for your time have a good day.
