In a few days, maybe a week at most, I will be sending a PCB off for fabrication.

Any clue on how the restrictions have affected e-commerce freight? (I am not worried about snot on my PCB.)

Dedicated air freight seems largely unaffected.

I looked at a PCB few sites. Delays are to expected in the range of days to weeks.
This was a typical statement.
We could process business and order in our own system but due to some public policy like people and products movement restriction, for those placed orders production and delivery time will be effected and delayed about 10-15 days, we are so sorry for this delay. If you need urgent delivery please contact us before order.
Some of it is due to normal China Lunar New Year delays for the (extended because of Coronavirus) holiday but some factories are seriously affected by government restrictions.

Last I read globally 35,000 people are dead as a result of it. Wondering how I would feel quarantined to a cruise ship? I love cruising and if the food was good I guess I would be OK with it. Oh yeah, I want good stateroom television like movies.

Simple. You have two choices: 1) Jump overboard, and if you survive be arrested in Japan; or 2) Stay on board and make the best of it. From what I have read, the cruise line is doing a pretty good job with food. Don't have a clue what, if anything, it is charging.

For me, the choice is simple. I have dived from a 10-m platform. Not sure I want to test being higher.

Maybe if they actually understood how a virus is transmitted they would worry less about you packages and more about doing their jobs? This is like telling someone you caught a STD from a toilet seat.

The total fatalities in China is less than 1000 out of a population of 1.3 billion.

The fatalities in the U.S. is barely a blip on the curve so it's not really a crisis. By the way, I rode the bus through San Francisco's China Town area where there are 1000s of people on the streets during the day time. I saw only two people wearing a mask so they are not worried.

Hi,

The problem i see is that they are not just stuck on board, then are stuck in their cabins. That must REALLY bite when you expect to roam around on the big ship and do stuff.
I always tell people to avoid cruise ships anyway these days because of the problems they have been having.

I'd be far more concerned about TB or HIV (which is behavior related) as they are at the top of the list for yearly infectious deaths. Remember all the sensational "strange" deaths at hotels in the Dominican Republic which turned out to be entirely within statistical norms but blown up into headlines???

Yeah, that's why I included good movies. :)

The only US fatality was in china. A 60-year-old woman with other health problems. Probably visiting her relatives and subjected to substandard health care.
