12 million people have had two jabs means approximately 24 million work days lost from what I have heard. Brilliant! Absolutely brilliant!

Then again this could lead to a good outcome...
If I were still working, I wouldn't have missed any hours at all. I had almost no reaction. Wife either. My daughter lost some time, so it's a real thing, but far from a "guaranteed" loss of productivity.

The Army likes to jab people on Friday so they're back and ready to go on Monday. If you lose time, it's your own.

That there is funny. You don't accept him but you are so big on the stuff from the "grassroots people" and vitamin D.
I expected this reaction to come sooner :)

I did not even look at the rest of the site, it is a good summary of what ADE is. It is an issue that is being studied and is being completely glossed over.

There is a fair amount of information on ADE in coronaviruses available. I am sure some if it just might be credible.

It's a real thing and a valid concern. But the people working in the field knew this all along and ADE was one of the things they specifically watched for during development and testing of the vaccines.

There have been no instances of ADE reported during the COVID-19 vaccine’s pre-clinical/clinical development, but further ADE related research should be undertaken in order to avoid potential side effects.

From nsa's link - " This is an observational study,” Meltzer said. “We can see that there’s an association between vitamin D levels and likelihood of a COVID-19 diagnosis, but we don’t know exactly why that is, or whether these results are due to the vitamin D directly or other related biological factors.” Doesn't sound very peer reviewed to me. But then I'm not a scientist nor do I play one on line.

I've been double tapped with vaccine so I'm on the path to critical mass. Unfortunately the state of Oregon is going backward while most of the USA is on the opening path.

On Tuesday, Oregon Gov. Kate Brown announced that 15 counties, including much of the Portland metro area minus Washington County, will move to the state’s “extreme risk” category for COVID-19 restrictions, meaning a new ban on indoor dining and strict capacity limits on gyms, movie theaters and other businesses.
This is in a state with some the strictest rules in the nation on masks and social distancing.

This is exactly what I mean by "disproportionate measures". Oregon has a population of 4.2 million and less than 2500 Covid deaths. And yet the simple fact remains that every single year MORE people die from diabetes in that state!

These restrictions need to end. They're just hurting communities and stifling economic growth at this point. Contact your local representatives and let them know in no uncertain terms that you DO NOT support these measures!

“It gives the illusion that she’s basing it on facts,” Marty said of the letter, “but there’s not one citation, there’s not one physician or scientist whose name is spelled out in there. There’s no references. There’s nothing. There is no scientific evidence provided. Rumor is the only thing that’s there, and if you look at the reality, there’s zero, zero science behind those allegations.”
That's just a Florida story not a science story and it's one of the more intelligent examples.

The problem is we don't have the rule of law for pandemic health risk related actions, one person, the Governor gets to decide. When this pandemic is over we really need to revisit the limits of long duration emergency powers of officials.

And that's the point that I think most people miss... health officials and experts are actually learning about this crisis on-the-go. That is, every measure taken so far, be it lockdowns, mask wearing, etc. is part of one big experiment. The results of which will eventually be known when serious studies are performed.

But things got nasty almost immediately when politics were inevitably added to the mix... human nature never fails to cloud even the most transparent scientific clarity.

An interesting article from a year ago about coverage of the pandemic and its influence on people. This is about Russia. Fast forward to Canada today and thing cannot be more true.

In BC and Ontario we are into a month of restrictions of movement between different regions. Of note is the fact that international flights are still a go. In BC this "health order" went into effect on friday but they are still working out details of what police can or cannot do as there are multiple issues.

As I mentioned above RCMP already said they are not willing to enforce this. What next? Military?
