My beloved fellows,

I broke the LCD from my Mitsubishi MSZ-SF23VE3 air conditioner remote control (TYPE: SG15D 1538).
Below is a working one for reference:

And below is the broken one apart showing, the PCB and the broken LCD:

The LCD isn't soldered and just sits on the PCD, making tight contact screwed on it.
It has a serial number MD-0433-003 on the back and below 17-10-06 probably as the creation date:

Now you can tell me that I am a little bit weird, but I can only find this "compatible" RC below, but it isn't the same as the original...

Also I am not sure if it has the same modes as mine...

So, I would really appreciate your help if I could find a replacement LCD (if its possible), or the same remote control.

Also from a search I did, this broken LCD is called COG (Chip-On-Glass) LCD with Zebra or Elastomeric Connectors on top and bottom.

 

An actual "chip-on-glass" LCD is a custom device with specific internal logic inside the chip. The only option is to replace the broken part.
If your air conditioner has a local control option then you will need to use that. Ifthe remote control that looks different is able to control, you are fortunate.

I'm afraid you are right...
So, my only chance is if I could find a used original, as long as I don't want to use a replacement...

 

I will order a replacement and see if I can fit the LCD screen to the original control.
I will inform you in a few weeks with the results...
