So for the past day or so I can't access any dropdown in the edit bar if any text is selected.

Deselecting the text makes it work, selecting breaks it again. There also seems to be a yet-to-be-untangled additional condition that can prevent the drop-downs from.. dropping down.

I have noticed that editing is a serious struggle on a tablet, I use a MS Surface. Inserting a URL on a highlighted word is near impossible and inserting an image almost always inserts two.

Also backspacing to delete a character makes the entire page "jitter" horribly.

This does not misbehave on my desktop PC just the Surface.

 

I am using the latest Safari on MacOS. This isn't correlated with any update, though. It seems to be server-side.
