Horrible story of innocent people killed but the driver has some responsibility to safely control the bus.
I see what looks like a deliberate turn of the wheel by the driver after the assault with a 'cellphone'.
Or he is afraid to stop, you cant kill a driver while the bus is running with 100km/h, or if the person has a chainsaw a sudden stop can kill the passangers for which the driver will get blamed, so its best to just to let the person with a chainsaw kill them all.....after all its following blindly the law that matters not the result!

It's an upset lady with a cellphone here, not a horror movie skit. It's possible the driver was already thinking about murder suicide because of an earlier incident with the passenger and the lady was already afraid of his possible bad intentions. He seemed to pick the deepest part of the river to crash over the side. She was trying to stop him?

A backstory on the driver's life would be useful to better understand what happened

A camera should be installed not only on every police car, but on every bus also!

Mayor Eric Garcetti's office, when contacted, was unaware the signs existed. But working the rolodex of local-government bureaucracy introduced current and former officials who were adamant that the peculiar traffic violation has been an important tool for reducing the flow of Johns into the area. A look at the data shows they might actually be right—but, as always, the truth is more complicated than a set of numbers.
