Hello,
Newbie question I have a device that have two SPST relays that I control. From these relays, I would like to control the ON/OFF states of two LEDs (red and green) and a high/low brightness state. This gives four possibilities:
Red High brightness
Red Low brightness
Green High brightness...
I recently decided to switch over to LED, because these halogens use so much power and output so much heat. The fixture is not dimmable. The new LEDs are rated for 120v, 35w equivalent.
I replaced all the bulbs in the fixture, turned them on and they were so dim. I turned them off but they...
I have a set of led headlights for my truck that won’t power up when plugged in or directly wired to car/automotive battery, yet when I use a little 23a 12v battery they do power up. I’m confused!! Why does this happen? And why won’t they work in my truck?
Hi! I would be very grateful if you can help me.
I have been building some circuits to turn on a LED when the battery is low (images), but there is a problem: The led dim and blink between the OFF and fully ON state for some minutes.
My circuit consumes 0.23A and is supplied by a 3.7v/1400mAh...
Can a 4-20 mA (constant VDC) analog output on an industrial controller be used as an input on a solid state relay? I wasn’t sure how a device behaving as a variable current source might interact with a load such as the LED in an solid state relay that varies in its current draw. For example...
It's working fine right now but I just want to ask if it is a safe idea? I used 1n4001 diode in each power source line so that the current flow won't jump to the other power source and vice versa.
Hi Guys I’m looking to build a circuit which will light an led when it detects an 420k resistor will i require a transistor circuit for this to work?
If this post is in the wrong section I apologise i am a new user?
Hi all,
I'm working on a micro controller project to do race timing for rowing regattas. It's coming along pretty nicely and I want to add one component: A finish light that will be turned on and off by the microcontroller.
The light needs to be seen from a distance in sunny conditions. I want...
Hi all, a driver circuit needed for lighting a 30W LED* (one color) -
I had a look at the XL6005 datasheet and wanted to make sure I understand it properly based on the following diagram**:
1. To drive the LED with 300mA I should make RS = 0.73 ohm (ILed=0.22/0.73=0.3A)
2. To limit the max...
Hi all
New here! I am looking to convert my broken LED display into a skylight, something like DIY Perks youtube videos. I was able to disassemble the display and get the lens layers and broken panel off. But i am unable to figure out exactly how to bypass the signal detection stage of the...
Good night. I bought this flashlight for my bike:

But the light that comes out seems very little to me. I think it has more potential. Could I modify...
Hello guys!
This is my first post here, so I'm sorry if I break any rules or anything. I'd need some help with an LED Organ circuit.
This is the design I came up with:
It's just a crossover circuit connected to 3 transistors that are supposed to pull the LED's low.
Problem is that it is not...
so I took the LED strip out of my tv or to be more accurate 3 LED strips (6 bulbs each) I thought if I took a strip down to 4 I could hook it up to 12v power and it would light but I have gotten nothing, anyone willing to help me figure how to power these?
Hello,
Iam still pretty new to electronics this is my first time using a RGB led i plan on each color to be on at one time no mixing colors, the part iam using is a common Anode RGB I planned on using a 5v power source to connect my anode to, the max led ma each color can handle is 20ma which i...
Hi all,
I would like to put together an led lamp that can be dimmed with a normal household dimmer switch. I have seen lots of circuit diagrams to show how to add a dimmer into an LED circuit but i can't find anything out there to explain how it can be done based on the supply voltage.
I'm...
Building a bike. I want to run the headlight, brake light to brake lever, LED turnsignals and handle bar switch to a rechargeable 12v. No, i dont want to buy a new flywheel and coil system for the motor. I would rather swap out 2 12v and leave the engine alone. So I know little to nothing...
Hello everyone,
my unlce asked me if I was able to check out a flashing light for construction use ( Klemmfix Horizon 21307) and see whats wrong with because it didn't light up anymore. On further investigation, the batteries seemed to be fine (runs on 12V input) but the bulb (Xenon flashing...
Hello everyone,
I have recently bought an GU 5.3 socket 12V RGB LED spot with an IR remote. For my project, I would need the IR receiver to be outside of the lamps housing. Can I simply desolder the IR receiver and resolder it to the circuit board using wires and place it outside of the lamps...
Hi, im curious how to handle ,lets say 20-30, LEDs that could draw max 60mA each on USB device. As i know usb port could deliver about 0.5A and those used in full(white color) draw around 1.2A+ ... This question is about power not how to connect them. What is the trick to use them lets say all...
I'm trying to design an LED driver that takes a ground as ON, performs a logical NOT on it, and sends it into an N Channel MOSFET. The MOSFET will give ground to a color channel on an LED strip.

I believe I have taken care of everything, but to be honest, this is...
