Hi all, I've enjoyed being a part of the AAC community for the past several months. I've learned a lot from some very knowledgeable members, who have shown interest in my projects and been willing to answer my newbie questions. But the time has come for me to cease being an active member...
The below was what I designed for a detector of the input port of 40 pins connector, it can be expanded to more pins to detect that when you need more I/O ports. The below was what I designed for a detector of an output port of 40 pins connector, it can be expanded to more pins to detect...

It has been interesting. My usual attention span for a new hobby is about 3 years. I spent nearly 4 years at All About Circuits. In that time I achieved over 11,000 posts and more, “likes” that anybody else (at that moment in time). I think I lowered the standards of the site in a good way. I...
Input Protection for Vdd and Adc of uC. If the Vdd of uC is 5V then the Zd1 and Zd2 are 5.1V, and R1 can be use as 0.22Ω/3W or 5W, if the Vdd of uC is 3.3V then the Zd1 and Zd2 are 3.6V, and R1 can be use as 0.1Ω/3W or 5W, the values of R1 will affecting the voltage of Vdd.
In this video, I show the details of the design of a simple bar graph, I made some time ago, I show the steps I take to design this circuit, this circuit functions fine for a quick design, however with better chosen values for voltages and currents it can be made to be more sensitive to input...

Today my circuit straightening went very well. I love the process of electronics more. Understanding is some way off but in the mean time I embrace the double entendre of Practical Electronics.
this circuit has elements from a Joule thief (blocking oscillator) and a Tesla coil. It doesnt need a resistor like a Joule Thief or capacitors, and has push button start. It can generate high voltage! One end of the secondary winding is left open. As you see the circuit drives a LED chain...
CurSns3 – High-Side Current Shunt Test. Blog Index. This section, CurSns3, will test a High-Side Current Shunt to demonstrate: High common mode voltage Big (massive) error using 2-wire connection Why you should use 4-wire connection whenever possible The advantages of isolation amplifiers...
Blog Index. This section, CurSns2, will cover Current Sense Resistors (RSense) in different circuit configurations: Low-Side High-Side 2-Wire 4-Wire A current sensor is used to convert current to an easily measured voltage that is proportional to current. There are a wide variety of sensors...
CurSns1. Current Sensor Introduction. Blog Index. Voltage and current sensing are fundamental to electrical and electronic circuits. Pretty much all analogue parametric sensors have a voltage output that is going to be compatible with the input of some measuring device, for example an ADC or...

So I've been out of work for about 5 months now, during that time I've searched for an electronics Tech position with out any luck. Whom ever said the job market is recovering is either A) a fool B) A liar or C) a staffing agency. That last one seems to be the problem really. Staffing Agencies...
So he is sitting here at this moment reading what i'm typing and was bugging the crap out of me because he thinks i have his dart board dart which i do not but it WAS fun to screw with him into thinking i do have it, but now it's becoming old and he doesn't realize it's most likely in his room...
I've been a member since (from what my profile says) 2010 and I've never used the forum really; just the textbooks as a reference. Anyway, I came across a thread the other day which mentioned the word "MemRistor" and watched the 6 min video about them and was mildly interested so i looked into...
