Hi,

You'll be sorry (ha ha just kidding) :)

There's always something new coming up.
Be prepared to find a place to keep your stock of electronic parts once they start to pile up :)

When I started out in electronics I Had no idea that in 4 years my scrap parts would take up 3/4 of a workbench, a small book shelf, and a couple square feet for boxes on the floor. if you have the time and the patience to ask for and desolder circuit boards then you can start out for not very much. If your looking for a goldmine of components a old projection tv has hundreds of components in it and people are getting rid of them so you can usually find one free on your local classifieds.

Programming has almost nothing to do with electronic components. Welcome to a very different adventure.:)
Most of the rules are non-negotiable because they are based in Physics.
The second thing to learn is, "Which Forum?" Chat, analog, digital, wireless, power, etc.
The third thing is Ohm's Law. Please excuse me while I blow my own horn:

If you find that too simple, just say so. We need to get a feel for how to address you.;)

Ha Ha! programming is sort of working with an invisible being which you can only feel in the inside. But Electronics is more of a practical thing and thats what makes it more interesting for me.And elecronic parts! I dont mind replacing my bed with them; provided they thrill me.:D
