I've had these since I was a kid. As an adult I've used them for heatsinking and holding parts while soldering. And gluing labels to female pin header sockets. Too bad they don't make them anymore. Has anyone seen similar? They're about 2" long. I'd love to have many more. Self-closing tweezers just don't do it, being too long and heavy.

I use some solid copper flat-jawed alligator clips (greater surface contact). Both small and medium-size. I haven't seen a large-sized one. For holding in place, I use some longish metal hair clips but they have a bit of curve to them.

Cool, I think I do have some copper flat-jawed micros like that. I didn't know the alligators came in copper...That could be quite useful since I can solder to them. Hair clips are a great idea.

Thanks!

I use this style: https://www.amazon.com/Mini-Clamps-Vinyl-Grips-Set/dp/B06XCFPLVZ/
and this style: https://www.amazon.com/CLIP-HEAT-SINK-KIT/dp/B0032UYTV6/

There is a larger version of the first as well.
