After I go to an "In service" of 40 hrs training, I will then have basic police powers, including arrest. I must do this annually, along with other schooling .

 

The guys need to know that Constable is a very respected position in the community.

I believe they act Independent of other officials. My grandfather was a Constable in

Western North Carolina.
