I am using ROS-43-119+ from Mini-circuits. I need a VCO that can generate a 40MHz frequency.

ROS-43-119+ can generate my required frequency by controlling the tuning voltage.

I need sinewave output from the VCO. There is no mention of the output type in the datasheet.

So what is the out type of this VCO?

 

It specifies that harmonics are at least 10db below the carrier so it is a reasonable sine wave.

 

@AlbertHall I will be using that VCO to generate a 40MHz signal. The tuning voltage of this VCO will be controlled from ADF401 PLL to generate 40MHz. The input reference signal will be a 10MHz sine wave signal.

The part I could find is a ADF4001:

Yup it's a typo... I am using ADF4106..
My question is possible to use that vco to generate 40MHz output

I will be providing RFin 10MHz input frequency to ADF4601.. And Refin will be from VCO

Did you see the min and max frequencies in the pictures I posted?
The ADF4106 will work from 0.5 to 6 GHz.
40 MHZ is 0.04 GHZ, so out of range.
