Hi all,

A while since I've posted on here! I've been working on a project that is nearly finished except, I haven't found a way I'm happy with to charge it, its a small wrist mounted device with a lipo battery and associated charging circuit.
I've a ftdi chip for usb/serial and to decide if it can charge from USB.
Its mounted in a okw box and I've tried to find a good way to mount a micro USB socket but as it for use in agriculture I want it as water tight as possible.
I've seen USB memory sticks that have a bit of PCB as the USB plug, I could extend my PCB outside the enclosure and use it as a plug? Anyone done this? Are there good reasons not too?

Cheers Geoff

I just want to be able to charge via a USB chargerIMG_20210712_155608.jpg
Like this, I was thinking a PCB with some contacts on could plug straight in, my current design has a micro USB socket on the PCB but getting a water resistant design with the okw box is proving to be tricky.

I could just cut a slot and put a bit of sealant around the PCB?

Thanks Geoff
