Hello everyone

Could you help me please. I am trying to figure out which terminal is + and - on these cheap Chinese plugs. I don’t have a multimeter.

Anyone help please?
Thank you
Annie

There is no defined positive or negative terminal. There's the center contact and sleeve – typically, the center contact is positive and the sleeve is negative, but this isn't always true.

The other contacts are a switch. Usually, the switch contact opens when the plug is inserted, often used to disconnect an internal battery when a power supply is connected.

Best bet is to use a DVM to beep out the contacts and to determine polarity with whatever power supply you plug into it.

Welcome to AAC!

Assuming center positive. + is terminal on the back. If you look inside of the jack, you'll see a contact that will touch the barrel of the mating part; that will be -.

In the image below, + is terminal #1, - is terminal #2.
