I have two JQX-62F-2Z relays, two Allen Bradley push buttons, one Allen Bradley toggle, one Allen Bradley emergency stop button, one Baldor 3/4hp 115v motor. The motor runs a small winch. I want to be able to jog the winch up and down, but only when the buttons are pushed. I believe the diagram that I have below is the correct diagram for my relay, but I am having trouble getting it to do what I want it to do. Rather than explaining what I have done and confusing everyone, how SHOULD this be hooked up? I should add that the Baldor motor is only a three wire motor, T1 = Neutral, T5 = Forward, T8 = Reverse. Any help is appreciated.

That is a shot of a double pole contactor.
What is the present wiring diagram of the hoist?
True. I am retro fitting this unit from its previous occupation. It is an old hoist that had a built in relay box that would communicate with a keyed switch on the wall for raising and lowering a basketball hoop. I am going to use the motor and hoist to raise and lower a hay elevator. The elevator probably weighs 1/2 of what the hoop weighed.

Here is what I have tried. The following seems to make sense, but it only latches the B relay when power is turned on. The A relay will flicker slightly when power is applied.

A1 → DOWN button NO output
A2 → (unused)
A3 → L1
A4 → (unused)
A5 → Motor wire 5
A6 → (unused)
A7 → B1
A8 → Neutral

B1 → UP button NO output
B2 → (unused)
B3 → (unused)
B4 → L1
B5 → Motor wire 8
B6 → (unused)
B7 → A1
B8 → Neutral

L1 → Power switch → UP button COM
L1 → Power switch → DOWN button COM
UP button NO → B1
DOWN button NO → A1

Motor wire 1 → Neutral
Motor wire 5 → A5
Motor wire 8 → B5

I am REALLY IMPPRESSED!!
You have shown us some wiring diagrams that do not appear to apply: Posts #1and #4, and a listof connections to neither of the above: Post #3. Perhaps there were some PMs that conveted a lot of information, which we have not seen. None of the final circuit seems to have been presented so that I could see it.
I am happy that the TS has somethig that works well, but wondering what it actually is.
