I watch this video, min 3:30 upward, and it says that the demodulation of AM is when the diode is in the reverse biased but then the current flows!!! isn’t tit the current stop flowing when the diode is reverse biased?

When the diode is reverse biased, it carries no current, so the headphone carries it all. When it is forward biased, it takes the current the current and the headphone carries none.

I have always wondered why some folks put the diode across the headphone instead of in series with it. Most of the crystal radio circuits I have seen put the diode in series with the headphone.
