I didn't say she was on that call, only that others thought it was strange beyond just a stopped car and reported it.

 

 

I agree, so the reason it might be strange was primarily caused by the person who got shot.

The video shows inability of the officer to take control of the situation. She shoots the guy because of her own incompetence. This is his fault because? I saw on the video a guy wondering around with his arms up (generally) until he is allowed to approach the vehicle by the officer. As per other training video posted, this is a no-no. So why does she let him do it? There are simple rules that I would follow without training. Why is this a shoot to kill scenario?

Here is a question for you - a while back I got really drunk and had to break into my own house. I do not remember 1 hr of my life still. I hate authority. Would I be alive today if the police were called by my neighbours? I guess if I was dead you would say it is my fault... this is a sad world indeed.

Because he was so drunk couldn't aim a pistol if he had one?
Because nobody saw any sort of weapon...not even a bar-b-que fork?

I agree about her own incompetence but I'm sure this is not the first stop she has made. What was different about this one that ended up with the possibility of her committing a crime?

That second cop missed a good opportunity for a kill shot. The woman touched him at least twice!

Right, she can recognize someone under the influence, she just does not know how to deal with them, or does she? point and shoot? interesting policy

I've always said her actions were suspect from my very first post of this shooting. You're right that the escalation to deadly force seemed more pushed by her than the victim but there's little doubt the drivers possible impairment and lack of positive feedback to commands influenced her possible fear driven tunnel vision because it was reported by all who saw him on the road.

 

Some cops fear but some cops like to rock.

If she was by her lonesome with the guy charging with only his bare hands I would agree but she had a big male partner, at the ready, who had already fired a Taser when she pulled the trigger on the gun. It's a close call to me it was criminal but not IMO that she over-reacted to the threat.

 

Why did Mr. Crutcher (the unarmed guy with car troubles) lay there and bleed out?

They saw Scott roll what they believed to be a marijuana “blunt.” They returned to watching for their suspect when they saw Scott hold up a gun.

They withdrew to a spot nearby and put on duty vests that said “Police” and equipment that would identify them as officers.
