Hi,
This is the Ky -033 line tracking sensor it's virtually the same circuit as the present one you have on the boardEG 1319.gif.

You could try it, but I suspect you will get the same problem.

hello:>> update on my circuit it is working fine now:>> omgg. But can you still help me add a buzzer when the counter reaches 10? or maybe 9?:>>

Mod: lightened your photo

hi gelzky.
At last, Good news...

What are the technical details of the buzzer, volts/current etc.
What type of transistors do you have on the work bench.?
E

EDIT:
I see you have not followed my advice on the power line capacitors or Clock filter/CD4093.
Am I wasting my time...

yes, thankyou:>>. the only thing I know is that it is a 5V buzzer the store where I bought it does not include other specification and also I only have this transistor 2N2222 A331

oh, sorry my bad I got the components already, I just tested the new sensor if it works fine and I'm about to put the capacitors:>

OK. No problem.
Post details of your buzzer and any transistors you have.

In my limited experience 2N3904's with a date code of 331 are not really 2N3904's but they are close enough for many non-critical applications.

You cannot just go by the datasheet because the part (which is flooding the casual component market right now) is fake.

hi,
That's what that pin is supposed to do.:)
What you have to do now is to look at the pins on that diagram and see which pins go High when the Count is 9 [ you cannot count to 10 on one digit]

Draw and post a diagram on how you would get a '9' decode.

E

This may help. Hint: note 'e' and 'h' are LOW at 9. [ h is the output you have just tested]

hi,
OK,
So try to work out a simple logic diagram and post what you think, and we can edit the circuit.
For a quick check, this is a diode/LED option

hello:>, idk if this is what you meant but I just got the binary equivalent of 9 and made a diagram out of it because I thought of the BCD to 7 segment conversion but I'm not sure if this is what you meant :<

hi g,
The problem with your diagram logic, is how can you make connections to A,B,C,D points in the 4026.??
This circuit is the internal logic of the 4026.

hi,
This is one method, you can work out how to make the same logic with your NAND gates.

As this is Homework, I cannot give you the final answer,
