Lol, thanks., my wife & daughter are Filipino actually. Hard to tell asians apart. Being married to one, I have inside knowledge that asians can't even tell asians apart; so next time a korean gets pissed off because you assume they are chinese, tell them where to stick it.

Eight more days to the parade. Most of the hard work on the toaster has been completed. Just a few more finishing touches and then the toast! Would be nice if I can make smoke but don't know how to do that. Any ideas?

When I was a kid I had a small toy robot that would make smoke come out of its head by vaporizing 3in1 oil. my dad had to add a little squirt every now and then. I believe it did this with a couple of AA batteries

Thanks for the reminder. When I was a kid I had a toy train that put out smoke from the chimney after adding a few drops of oil. I'll try making a heater powered by a 12V 15AH battery and I'll post the results.

 

Ok, just tried it. I got a 10-ohm 3W resistor across a 12V 15AH battery resting on a piece of tissue dipped in citronella lamp oil. In a matter of seconds I got some beautiful smoke. (First time I think I ever called smoke beautiful). Luckily the duty cycle required is very low. Maybe once every few minutes after allowing the smoke to disperse. I will put a toggle switch in the circuit. Wonder if I'm allowed to burn some weed with it? Hmmm.

 

Last day before the big parade. The Traveling Toaster is all done. Yeah! Now I can get some sleep. The smoker needs a bit more fire power. Will work on that in the morning and I'll post some pics from the parade. Thunder showers in the forecast. Hope it doesn't rain on my parade!
