Sounds a little like me, I never get lost because people are always telling me where to go!Lots of places "want" me to go away...
Does that count?![]()
but every one in South Florida knows me.
My first tattoo was the Jack Daniels bar code... I have two cats. Mother and daughter. They are named Carmen and Electra...They were jealous that Willie didn't kiss them.Willie and the band drink JACK DANIELS on the stage.
Now that is a picture with a face. Not some blurry picture from say the middle of some ocean. I can not picture me. How it can be so hard to show a face picture. You show your face everyday in public anyway. This is a picture of me from over 5 years ago. I guess it is time for a new one, I've lost over 25 pounds since then. I was dressed for DeMolay.

on the topics of willie nelson, jack daniels, tattoos, and being from Norway; I was surprised to find that Norwegians (some of them) listen to country music. It's in a language I don't understand and they don't call it "country" but that's what it is. And, in canada (my experience is limited to Alberta) they wear cowboy boots and drive big trucks and do pretty much everything your typical rednecks do. Coming from the southern U.S. I always though this stuff was unique to my area, but found later that there is no such thing as unique. Also regarding the "everything is bigger in texas" saying; pick just about anything you consider "big" in Texas and you can probably find it bigger in Alberta. My first tattoo was the Jack Daniels bar code... You are quite cheapMy first tattoo was the Jack Daniels bar code
What can I say...You are quite cheap...By the way. The whisky I like best is Cutty Sark. It is not the most exotic brand but I like it. Have not tasted it in some time, then I think of it. How is your LED project going Jens?
I had similar thoughts. She is pretty, as is your daughter, you can tell them I said so. You think you have problems now, wait until the pimple faced boy shows up and states, "Mr. Strantor, I've come to date your daughter." (and your daughter is excited about it!). You will find this form very handy about then.@strantor:
Guess you have to live with guys staring at you wife...
Hey, you can always redesign it, and make a new one later. It is not like the parts are expensive. My LED project is moving a long just finee, thank you. I think I will settle for the 555, transistor/relay setup. I know it's not the most efficient set-up, but it's all at hand.
Yes, I do. Our rounds are 3 minutes long and we do 10 to 15 rounds. Currently I'm on a diet. I will try to see if I can get down to 63kg. If I do that, I might start competing again. Kickboxing light contact, that is. Or as I say, "We go hard, until the referee tells us to ease up". Then it's light contact....
Nerdegutta, do you do continuous sparring? I prefer realistic sparring myself, just because you get hit doesn't mean a match stops. It's not like the bad guys are going to stop if they tag you. I really need to get back into training.
When I started martial arts I gained 10 pounds (went from 255 to 265) but lost several inches off my waist. I guess fat floats. Anyhow, even though I never developed what would be called a 6 pack I had a very hard (but large) stomach.
As a blue belt I would let the young bucks (18 years olds typically) have free side kicks to my gut to teach them a basic lesson in physics. I wasn't the one who bounced. My instructor thought it was funny. Because I don't move sideways fast as I would like I've developed pretty good elbow blocks, you are risking your ankles if you throw a kick at my midriff.
One of the tenets of my style (Tay Son Nang, a Southern Kung Fu style) is power comes from the ground. We weren't shy about stealing techniques from other styles either. I have to admit I am not a fan of tournament style fighting, where one hit and the fights over. We are fans of the block and counter, where sometimes you take a hit to allow a better return.
