Oh god their arresting kids left and right here at TIA for that. Idiots were flashing incoming 747's, and then flashed the police chopper sent to investigate. Had one in cuffs with in 7 minutes. Only a couple have been caught but the reports are coming in daily now to where the newspapers are running stories why not to shoot laser pointers at planes.

I do not understand the danger involved. But I don't do what is deemed dangerous by the authorities

 

They can dazzle the pilots, even a low power laser in the eye will reduce your vision for a while. If you're on the final approach it's pretty risky.

 

How can one on the ground aim at the cockpit.
I guess I can never picture it since our planes do not land near residential areas or we do not have high ground levels.

 

I don't think anyone is going to offer any advice on how to do it.....
