From what I read, 14-16 days to hatching. I have not been taking notes but in this case it seems like about three weeks. Could be because it has been so cold so far.

The eggs have hatched about 4 days ago.

Not sure about exciting but certainly a busy life.

I would say you have to set priorities. I fully enjoy my work and my relaxed, laid back lifestyle. I cycle 15 mins to work everyday when weather permits. I try not to use a car. I don't sweat the small stuff. I go sailing in 15' Albacores a few times a week. It takes me 30 mins by bike to get to the sailing club. Yesterday and today were a couple of open regattas but couldn't go because I had to help my daughter find an apartment in the big city starting her first job in September having just finished university.

Today I get to enjoy a nice breakfast with my family for Father's Day.

I don't have time to watch TV or read newspapers. But I enjoy spending the time posting on AAC. I do the things that are important to me. I need to go in to work today to check up on a data collection experiment with low level gamma-ray counting.

The computer at home is busted - wouldn't boot. Don't know if it is the PSU or something else. The three-year old nectarine tree has way too many fruit growing on it. I have to thin off about 75% of the fruit. That is important to me. The four morning glories started from seed are doing well. Got to get them into a bit more sun.

I was hoping to add to my thermometer example on my MSP430 blog but looks like its not going to happen today.

Why do today what you can put off for tomorrow. Computers can wait. Things growing can't.

Looks like a magpie and some type of heron.

 

European robins are much smaller, about 5"

North American robin is about 8"

 

It's a grebe (and its chicks on its back). The magpie got the remaining eggs in the next few days.
