Hello,

i have a simple circuit using mcu to receive gnd in few pins so it will activate a motor via mosfet when it receives the gnd. question is, how can i protect the mcu pins from reverse polarity in case one of the pins will be connected by mistake to 12v instead of gnd? can i use a diode on the gnd wire that goes to each mcu designated pin?

Hi, as you can see in the image of the mcu input pins, all 6 pins suppose to get gnd signal, need to protect this 6 input pins if by mistake the pin will get 12v instead of gnd from other wire. if it was a positive rail, i would add a series diode, question if i can add a series diode in the gnd rail?
