Then your meter is not zeroed.I measure 3.5uH on everything I've bought so far.
The Extech measures at 1kHz, it is simply not equiped to resolve the equivalent series inductance (ESL) of a resistor. Consider a generic 1k resistor with a rather large ESL of 20nH. 20nH has a reactance of 0.000125 Ohm @ 1kHz. How is the meter gonna distinguish that from the main 1000 Ohm resistance?Extech 380193 LCR meter. it's calibrated.
