Try adding lots of fresh solder and while it is still hot bang the side of the pc board on the table. Do this one terminal at a time.

I got the new one installed. I didn't have the right channel but I was sparing of the solder so I didn't short it. I put more on and it worked, sort of. I get sound from both channels but no volume control. Odd. The colors are not next to each other so it couldn't be shorted. So.... Who knows. But I get both channels so I'm happy.

That indicates the "ground or common" on the volume control (see red circle) is not soldered or the trace is broken.
