Picture this...

Cinco de Mayo is Mexico’s most renowned celebration. And all of this because of this guy: General Ignacio Zaragoza, born in Texas, in the picturesque town of Goliad.
Texas declaration of independence was first issued in this same town.

I'd say that it's the day of the Declaration of Independence that is the most renowned, followed by the Batalla de Puebla, which is most commonly known as Cinco de Mayo ... as you've just mentioned. Believe it or not, the celebrations of Cinco de Mayo are way bigger in the US than in Mexico itself! ...

Down to the farm to look at the part we have for hunters. A couple of deer stand areas need to be cleared with a dozer. The rest is left wild.

The retired sister's place on the cleared 20. The classic hillbilly heaven with dogs, chickens, goats and pigs.

Hit one house, flew across into the fence of the next house , then took out the side of it.
Not sure why.

After some digging seems like it may be a Clay coloured Thrush!
Don't see them up here usually.
Neither one of us are what you'd call "avid bird-watchers" ... so I'm gonna take your word for it. And I'm not surprised that you don't see them usually where you're at. Bird species change dramatically between different terrains.
For instance, my brother owns a nice cabin about an hour drive from where I live, and the types of birds that one sees up there look like they belong to a different continent sometimes, to say the least.
