After reading some of the posts, I am yet again happy to be living up north, sure it is wet and there is no sun, but all I have to worry about are grumpy bears. That one is simple - no food scraps around humans, especially if camping.

According to my DNA test, I have 2% from Iberia. You never know about the long distant past!!!
Max.:)
Mine came back with 8% Iberian which blew my mind, before my father died in Jan I did a test on him, he was 67% European and his DNA reflected what is found Switzerland. This whole time we in Family have been told we are Viking Decent tracing a Marker from 1015 by a "Priest" recalling the name in Knutsford when King Cnut concurred Mercia in England the research was done for my family by English Historians with Verified Pedigree. However, because of his DNA location now, it's more likely we came to England as Saxon not Viking at an Earlier time, with Cnut's father Sweyn Forkbeard who was married to a Polish Princess Gunhild, but history has no verification of his mother so it shows it listed as Unknown.

We do know our last name parallels with a name along the Rhine = Rhinelander, which has been confused by many both in England and France because of the Duality old Norse "Hroi = King, Hero, Chieftain, Warrior" and Old Saxon "Lanyo" French meaning Land, or Saxon Meaning Spear or Lance.

I apologize now, but the older I get the more interested I become in my Families Origin.

Edit: He also had a Marker matching "Otzi" the mummy found in a glacier dating back 5 thousand years https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ötzi. Fascinating to me.

The majority of mine covered the whole of the British Isles and most of Scandinavia, which did not really come as a surprise as England has just about been invaded by everyone!.;)

I was lucky the historians have the same surnames, but they are of Welch decent dating to 1100 a.d. they could not account for the Scandinavians possessing the same names as of 10 years ago. Oddly one of my cousins asked them to do research in order to help us, they found evidences to 1015 or before predating theirs.

They will say in an account of their ancestor that 2 welch princes rode out of wales in hopes of a land grab there to meet William the Conquerors two nephews armies in that area killing them, William was in London preparing to be crowned, he began the chase, their Ancestors original name was Bleddon, who as he rode through Knutsford bordering the Rylands heading for safety from William, encountered our family who were humble Scandinavian farmers and who for a Thousand years have farmed the soft loamy soil known for Rye and practiced the art of Animal Husbandry. My ancestors survived the turmoil because of that, they provided much needed food resources for Armies and maintained protection from the Danish as well as the Saxons for both allowed a peace under either rule. Their family gave rise to the story Robin Hood, donating a portion of land to the Catholic Church to escape taxes then later became Nobles in the 13th century. They have a library named after John Ryland historian and curator.

We were never noble in any regard, but was able to serve from based on both accounts when ever the powers shifted. What little remains in the Doomsday book and the Church of England to contribute to the testament.

Ironically it is pronounced DOOMsday but spelt Domesday. I have a modern copy entitled 'The Domesday Book' which goes in to records for most of the counties covered under the charter of 1086.
My family name originates from Scotland and we actually have our own Clan, Tartan etc.
But I have traced county records on my paternal side back to 1600's about 20mls from where I grew up in the British midlands.

Especially after your question was deleted.
It was no longer relevant.

Edit: I did however find Max history interesting as well as his DNA, but since your opine I feel it isn't a subject worth pursuing. Hell I would also enjoy yours but your just to paranoid based on your profile.

Found this guy this morning. I think I read somewhere that a number of them awakened four years early and it is unclear how they got bad data. By the way, he is loitering on a Bhut jolokia (AKA Ghost pepper) - insanely hot and completely inedible as far as I am concerned. So much for my 4/$1 not bothering to read before planting procedure.

I bet that structure on its forehead is a pheromone sensor.
It certainly doesn't need that much sensor for sound!!!
