Oscillator Identification

It's a crystal used in an oscillator. I didn't have any luck searching. Bing gave me pictures of a bunch of assault rifles when I searched for "m1474ba crystal".

It doesn't make any sense to me. Why not just do the obvious and just put 14.74MHz on the package?
It makes you have to read the datasheet for one. Also putting a "." on the package makes the value hard to determine. The period gets lost in the small type and dirt on the package. It's why resistor values on SMT use numbers and the Letter "R" for the value marking.

I don't think that's a valid concern. The first 3 of these crystals are much smaller than the one in question...
