There are lots of poisonous snakes in FL. The largest being the Eastern Diamondback Rattlesnake which I have dispatched at 6'8" and heard of reaching 8' and almost as big around as your leg. Also one of the deadliest vipers in the world, the very colorful Coral Snake. Small, typically less than 2' and not much bigger around than a pencil. Pretty but deadly. The only saving grace is they have to chew on you instead of injecting it's venom with long fangs like a rattler. And lots of Cottonmouths in the swamps and waterways. And they are nowhere near the hazard as a cloud of South Georgia Sand Gnat.

You call them cottonmouths down here and no one will know what your talking about. We call them water moccasins.

He's been sarcastic... you need to tread carefully around Joey, he seldom says something with less than two meanings...

And yes, he's telling the truth. Discussions about politics or religion are against this place's TOS.
I did have a suspicion but wanted to make sure ^^. Thanks for head up

And just think of what fun we could have had had I been allowed to answer his question the way I wanted to!

I'm having a hard time leaving the house in the morning.

GMA is completely wiped out because of news coverage of resent events we shan't name. My wife is ticked because she can't watch her regularly scheduled broadcasts.

<sar> I did notice two "Had, Had's" Duo Speak once again Joey?<sar>

BTW, a certain highly-regarded celebrity who happens to work out of an office somewhere between Virginia and Maryland happens to be holding a -- shall we say -- small get-together down the road from my house next week.

I was invited by the local...ummm...organization that concerns itself with...ummm...social discourse amongst citiz...people to volunteer to assist.

I really would be happy to. Unfortunately, I work for a living.

@nsaspook I know you are being sarcastic. Many years ago (ca. 1990) my wife and I visited Oregon. Our meeting was at Salishan and we spend a few extra days going up the coast and visiting vineyards. We had a great time. Last Summer, my daughter and her family did a similar trip (except for the Salishan part :) ). When she got back, I asked whether the news stories were exaggerated. Here response was simple,"Dad, you wouldn't believe it."

Florida Woman.
https://www.tampabay.com/news/crime...-kicking-club-manager-in-genitals-police-say/
The incident occurred about 1 a.m. at Sinsations, 20866 U.S. Highway 19 N, when a manager asked exotic danger Lakiesha Harrell Ortiz, 35, to leave for the evening, according to an arrest report written by a Clearwater police officer.
An argument began and Ortiz threw beer bottles and drinking glasses. The club’s front-door security restrained her and escorted her to a back room, the report states.
Florida Man
About 90 minutes later, a man who had been a customer at the club arrived at the Largo police station to complain about the arrest, though the arrest had been made by Clearwater police.
Largo police said Maxime Ducasse Cadet, 48, called their 911 center from the lobby of the station and was slurring his words when he did so. Officers confronted him as he tried to leave in a car.
Police arrested him on a drunken driving charge after he did poorly on field sobriety exercises and took a breath test that showed his blood-alcohol count was 0.163. Florida law presumes impairment at 0.08.
