Need help in Aptitude Question

If 6 men and 8 boys can do a piece of work in 10 days while 26 men and 48 boys can do the same in 2 days, the time taken by 15 men and 20 boys in doing the same type of work will be:
Well, I should think it would be obvious from the outset that each man does 1/100 of the job per day and each boy does 1/200 of the job per day --- So... take it from there :)

Arghh! Frustrating to read. Must... not... give... answer... The Dark Side is strong!
Stay calm. All is well. Sooner or later (most likely later) this will end, and we'll be able to look back on this monster thread and laugh (if we're not laughing already).

Around 600 posts ago, I simply let go of the fanciful idea that I could ever influence either of these people for the better and decided to "let it be."

Having done that, I feel a lot better and now am just making popcorn and having a good time watching.

That is good advice!

I had a friend once who didn't understand the difference between talent and skill. Talent we're born with; skill comes with practice and hard work. With both we get Perlman:

Without talent, skill may not come even with much practice, and a person can find themselves out of their league, sort of like me playing the trumpet in high school.

And for all that, I maintain that @RRITESH KAKKAR has demonstrated talent via his comprehension of, and, indeed, proficiency in, more advanced concepts/areas:) --- Clearly, his principle challenge is development of mental discipline (witness his difficulty with 'data sufficiency' exercises)...

Moreover, I feel the notion that individuals are 'born to their stations' is a bit of a 'slippery slope' --- While, clearly, talent is a factor - history -- unequivocally -- attests to the fact that same is as nothing in comparison with determination!:)

To render H. Ziglar: "Your attitude, not your aptitude, will determine your altitude" -- Trite but true!:cool::cool:

Best regards
HP:)

I wonder if an AI program, after collecting a set of only positive results, tries to correlate that set with another un-related set?
Could make for an interesting experiment in statistical analysis -- with an 'eye to' the correlation vs causation 'debate' (such that it is)

Best regards
HP:)

let x be men and y be boys
6x+8y=1/10 per day work
26x+48y=1/2 per day work
is this equation right?
