Need help in Aptitude Question

A alone can do a piece of work in 6 days and B alone in 8 days. A and B undertook to do it for Rs. 3200. With the help of C, they completed the work in 3 days. How much is to be paid to C?

mean of this?
they get order for doing total work at Rs 3200?

'C' did 1/8 of the work so he receives 1/8 of the pay -- simple as that:)
that fine but it is not coming in my mind how?
 
Here's the deal...

'A' can do 1/6 of the work in one day
'B' Can do 1/8 of the work in one day
with the help of 'C' the job is completed in 3 days
Total funds for labor = 3200 Rupees

Hence 3*(1/6+1/8)+X= 1 (X= the fraction of the work done by 'C' in three days)

X=1/8

3200*(1/8)=400 Rupees (i.e. 400/3 * 3)

Got it???

If 6 men and 8 boys can do a piece of work in 10 days while 26 men and 48 boys can do the same in 2 days, the time taken by 15 men and 20 boys in doing the same type of work will be:
