The button had a 5th prong for some reason I twisted it up and away from the board, it might seem it's connected but it's not.

Yep, I just tried it that's exactly the case.

 

Reinstall the 10K and all should be good. What value timing cap are you using?

 

I'm using a 330uF capacitor (I couldn't find a 300uF one in the store) with a 10k resistor giving me a time interval of about 3.3s which is good enough. I think that's pretty much it.

Actually you were correct about the .693RC. The timing looks short on the video. Adding a 100uf in parallel with the 330 should be just about spot on.

Noted, will drop buy and get a 100uF tmrw. Thanks alot for the help btw, really appreciate it I was really stuck.
