ok so i bought 5 of the above modules from ali express, to use as a switch debouncer for 4017 led sequencer.
i have tried 5 different momentary tactile switches wired using 7/0.2 stranded hook up wire, about < 1 metre in length.
this is connected between the ground and trigger pin of the module.

all triggered eratically if at all, testing on a breadboard and using an led for output (with 1k resistor) but using a short single core wire ~5cm on the ground and trigger pin worked with no problem ???? tiggered every time on touching the wires.

adding a 1k resistor between the vcc (9v) and one side of the switch did not help matters.

any suggestions to make the module work with ~1m switch wires.
or
suggest a very simple debounce circuit that would work ?
thanks in anticipation

resistor was placed between vcc and one side of the switch, the other side of the switch went to gnd.
i need a short pulse of 200ms or less, so i can toggle the next cue rapidly if needed.
i have no specs on the switch just a cheap momentary tactile button switch. i also tried a micro-switch, which didnt wor either, tried 5 switches in all.

Do these pics match your module? It should only take a moment to beep out and sketch a schematic.
Note the 555 has been improved for the People, for the Nation with a die-shrink so I would not expect the IC's to be stellar. It must be AC-coupled to /TRIGGER through a cap. I'm guessing the diode is for power-on reset.

i beleive the 4017BE does have a schmitt trigger, which should take care of a slow rise time.
yes those are the modules i am trying to use.
tracing a schematic even if i were capable wouldnt presumably help me use the module

ok, so i have got a simple work around using a 4N25 opto isolator to turn on and short the trigger pin and ground pin of the dw44 monostable.

i can have long wires to the opto,
IT WORKS GREAT!!
