LTSpice Simulation - Slower than Usual

Hi everyone,

I'm working on an LTSpice simulation that includes the LT8672 (Active Rectifier Controller) and MAX20048 (Buck-Boost Regulator). The simulation is much slower than expected, when simulating for ISO7637 & IS016750 test standards .

Any insights would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

I'm sorry, but you're being naive. My advice: calculate the first part of the circuit separately (without the second converter, by simulating its consumption, at least with a resistor). Converters are not counted for 2 seconds. Two seconds will count as a whole year!

I’ve been working on a simulation involving the LT8672, and when I simulated using only the LT8672, the simulation ran as expected without any significant issues. However, when I try to simulate using both the LT8672 and MAX20048 together for the required test standards, the simulation speed drops considerably, and I end up with simulation times that exceed 10 seconds, which is the minimum time duration needed for proper analysis.

To clarify, I need to run the simulation with both of these components to adhere to the testing criteria, but the simulation time is currently too long to be efficient.

For the required test standards, I need to run the simulation for at least 10 seconds to complete the analysis, but this seems to be a long simulation time, especially for the MAX20048.
