OK.
Now connect input 1 on the inverter to +12V, the corresponding RGB color LED on the fixture should be OFF.
The corresponding LED on the inverter should be on.
Is this correct?

I didnt understand 12v+ as the ones from the DMX box are all neg except the one with the question mark thats not connected, it is currently wired as the image. with all the RGBs on and no leds showingon the small connection board

just double checked all leds are on the fixture none are on on the board this is exactly how I started earlier on.
I just tried changing the small board as well in case it was faulty/damaged. all inputs on small board read 12v all outputs less than 1v. the fixture is being lit by the pos and neg from the 12v supply ignoring the RGB input completley. I believe the DMX positive currently not connected is required for the DMX box to do its thing. so sorry this is causing so many problems

sorry yes it is connected as the image the 12v from DMX is not connected, so its 11.86v at the invertor from the psu

so if the DMX box positive (the one with the question mark in the image) is not connected how does the RGB signal activated as the circuit isnt complete on the DMX box?
