sorry yes it is connected as the image the 12v from DMX is not connected, so its 11.86v at the invertor from the psu
That 12 volt from the DMX connector isn't needed here. It's used to supply 12 volts when using those 4 wire LED strips.
But if the 3 inputs on the inverter are at appx 12 volts then the 3 LEDs on the inverter board should be ON.
See if there is 12 volt on that jumper.

Let me recap here.
Everything is connected as in post #105.
All 3 inputs on the inverter currenty read 12 volts and the 3 outputs read less then 1 volt.
All LEDs on the inverter board are OFF and all LEDs on the fixture Are ON.
Is this correct?

It appears the output from the inverter board may not be low enough to turn OFF the LEDs in the fixture.
Does not explain why the LEDs on the inverter are OFF.
Try this:
With every thing connected as mentioned before, connect a wire from the "A" output on the inverter to Neg without disconnecting the wire from the inverter to the LED fixture.
Basically shorting it to negative.
See if that turns OFF the red LEDs in the fixture.

yes that worked shorting the negative psu to the A output, R red went off and led on invertor came on, progress?!

Possibly but before I give up on those inverter boards can we try this:
Power up just the fixture and inverter board as shown below.
The RGB wires on the inputs not connected to anything.
All LEDs on the fixture should be ON.
Connect any RGB on the three inputs to +12 volts and see if that corresponding LED turns OFF in the fixture.

Try this setup without the inverter board.
With all DMX RGB outputs ON, all LEDs on the fixture should be OFF.
With all DMX RGB outputs OFF, all LEDs on the fixture should be ON.

right, when DMX set to off only R red light is on when I try and measure the voltage this turns the R led off less than a volt reading, G and B are zero. when I set to red on all, lights are off 0v on all 3 RGB

That's telling me you setup the DMX for R OFF, B and G ON, is this correct?
What model voltmeter are you using as it should not load down the voltage reading. How is the meter setup to read the voltage?

to be honest when I put my fingers near the wires it flash lights and do weird things. I will check the model I have it set to 20v dc to test voltage.

When its set to red mode on the blue and green are on but barely visable. G mode red lights are on B mode red are on also. Still test for voltage R goes off when wires touch G and B are unaffected on all settings

The meter setup appears fine.
Set R,G and B to ON in the DMX.
All LEDs in the fixture should be OFF and the voltage readings on R, G and B should be 0 volts.
Is this correct?
