I don't know what's going on with that DMX.
If I could be there with you I believe this would have all been figured out in about 5 minutes.:)
Would be interested how that DMX works using a standard 4 pin LED strip.
Last option is to try modifying the LED fixture.

you literally put the strip on to connections and it works 4 wires to 4 wires all colours work as they should.

" Last option is to try modifying the LED fixture." I said this at the start of the thread I'm getting really tired of it tbh

Any idea how I would do it? I would imagine putting in higher resistors? cutting out the mosfet things!
I believe you can do the mod without removing the chips as shown below.
I'm showing how all three LED drivers on the circuit board will connect to the DMX.
Try this on just one of the chips on the board any color is fine.
the +12V wire on the fixture will connect to the 12V pin on the DMX 4 pin connector.
Any questions?

So this would create a 4 wire system? would the other wires stay the same? sorry but I need to be very clear on these things or I will risk breaking the unit!

Yes it will create a 4 wire system.
The RGB wires on the existing fixture will remain for the test but not connected to anything.
The Neg from the fixture is also not connected to anything.
Are we clear on how pins 3 and 4 on the DD311 chip are modified?

Couldn't rest so got up connected to the blue mosfet as per your diagram no leds on H00 H01 then H02 B & G H03 G & B on then stopped working think I must have shorted something checked mosfet pin 4 and 5 read a short cant see any connection on the board think I've fried that one. tested the R mosfet same way working but not as bright as it should be.

Second mosfet has died now showing dead short on pin 5 only R left now all led still test ok. No change in brightness with negative connected tested led individually 5v top 3.7 mid 1.7 bottom 9.71v at resistor on R circuit.

I don't know what those mean top, mid and bottom.
There are 5 pins on the DD311 which are read 1 to 5 from left to right. The resistor is connected to pin1.

Sorry those are the leds in a row they run diagonally so top led was a higher voltage than the middle one and the bottom one the lowest with the resistor thats feeding them at 9v. All the leds test working with the meter but only the red ones now work off the power.

Ok
If the wire on pins 3 and 4 of the red mosfet is removed from the DMX and connected to neg on the power supply is the red LED at max brightness?

ok, I tested with the negative on the pins 3 & 4 the red leds didnt light but the 3 green ones flickered. last mosfet now reads a short, the only option I can see is a complete rewire not sure I have the soldering skills.
