Are oyu willing to spend some time with him masked and outdoors? That would at least give him some contact with people. Then when you are ready to work indoors with him you can do that.
Lack of trust, he’s sort of spontaneous type, just like when he left yesterday thought he forgot his pouch inside his guitar case, he had it just didn’t know it. He has a lot of respect for me, it’s a trust thing. Something I said made him want to give me a shoulder hug and hand shake, I didn’t deny him that moment. But, me and another guitarist Steve who is in the background phone and txt checking up on him, afraid he will death spiral because of mom and people in the drug culture with open arms. We all are survivors of a sort, only ones left are Me Rhythm Guitar, Lead, Bass, Steve Lead Guitar, Trumpet, Piano, Dave Bass, Russell Rhythm & Lead Guitar, Bass, Drums. The rest disbanded across the country, 9 of us all part of the 70’s scene music in my State. I fell out to have children and family early on stopped the drugs and party scene, only 17. The rest moved on to perform on stage for 10 years in different bands, Russell play in front of 60,000 people opening for Santana, Burnie Drummer was a roady for Grand Funk Railroad, he has played professionally with them when the Drummer wasn’t able to take the stage.

Now that I’m older I know how important friendship is empty house no kids under foot, but still that teenager, but much wiser. e.g. why I can’t fall to emotions right now.

I doubt any reasonable person would be offended for asking them to please stay away till you've had both jabs, while also telling them things will go back to normal after that.
I sent him a txt as you said: His response is a thumbs up, I’m always available for a call when I’m not working e.g. my time slots if he needs me, I told him about the shot and it’s free right now at Sams Club, but he’s to afraid, seen the fear in him when to his surprise I would go with him for comfort, he doesn’t like needles.

I'm glad to touch bases I've been wondering how your doing, seems your on the right track. I've been giving some thought to my contact or being around people until I've taken my second shot and 2 weeks after that I'll be back to normal. I'm do for the second one on the 21st most likely I'll take it easy after for 2 or 3 days. Fridays and Sundays I'm off or after 5pm daily, if you need to talk. Hang in there man. (His Thumb ^ apple emoji won’t work on the forum.)

I have a sister who's seriously hesitant about getting the shot for the same reason... I too, hate needles. In fact, I know of no one who actually loves them (never been around a drug-addict, though). Although I find it silly that people would chicken out for that childish reason... I try and be patient and respect their phobia, never mocking or making fun of them... that only makes things worse.

Ya, I didn’t actually realize it because when I said I would go with him, I meant I would go right at that minute, he went from surprised I would go with him when his response was “You would do that?” I said sure I would be happy to lets go, suddenly his face drained and retreated into shock of the moment. I didn’t push and told him I would go when he’s ready.

Edit: I should add he either smoked or snorted never touched a needle.

Sometimes friends need a little push to jump off the plane, you know... but it's a very sensitive thing. I'm no psychologist, but what's worked in the past when I realized that a friend's most important motivation comes from fear, is (delicately) make them feel a greater fear of not doing what must be done.

I’m dealing with only a core of what use to be, he’s more of a child in an adults body, vacillating between characters or roles he wants people to see. A rare moment for me to be in. Steven is concerned, hoping he will trust me and make the right choices, I still want to get the gang together for one last gig, record it for posterity.

Edit: 25 minutes before I‘m do to take calls this morning, peace to all on the forum friends.

Edit: Rare Footage without me, for those who claim to be a 70’s child.

From what I've read, after having both shots, you have about a 1% chance of catching COVID-19 and having symptoms bad enough for you to go to a hospital. Of the people in that situation, about 1% die.

The problem for vaccinated people is that they could become asymptomatic carriers and pass it to unvaccinated people.

Disclaimer: data is still being collected for infection, mortality, and transmission for vaccinated people.

The efficacy of the flu shot is around 50%; lower in older or obese people. But the chances of dying from the regular flu is an order of magnitude less than COVID-19.

So... I am having some pretty unpleasant adverse reactions to the vaccine. Mostly pain and fatigue with mental fog. I am hoping this will be a 24 hour thing and I will be fine tomorrow.

Right now, it's very unpleasant but a small price to pay for immunity for myself and the rest of my community.

From what I've read, more severe reactions are expected for the second shot; that's a sign that your body had developed antibodies from the first shot and they're mounting a strong defense against the CV protein.

The migraine I had was a cake walk compared to the ones I used to get.

LOL FWIW my son's friend totaled her car when she ran a stoplight and T-Boned someone yesterday. The cause? She fainted from taking her Covid shot. Yeah right... I think this is her 3rd car in as many years now.
